Terms & competition rules
These terms apply to every competition we run and to your use of this website. Please read them before entering — entering a competition means you accept them.

1. Who we are
FordMax runs skill-based prize competitions and sells classic Ford parts in the United Kingdom. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean FordMax; "you" means the person entering a competition.
You can contact us at info@fordmax.co.uk, or by post at FordMax, PO Box 000, Yourtown, AB1 2CD.
2. Who can enter
- You must be 18 or over and resident in the United Kingdom.
- Our employees, their immediate families, and anyone professionally connected with running a competition may not enter that competition.
- We may ask for proof of age, identity or address before awarding a prize, and may refuse or withdraw an entry if it isn't provided.
3. How to enter
Every competition is a prize competition, not a lottery: entry requires answering a skill question correctly. A wrong answer means the entry is not accepted, and no payment is taken.
To enter online, choose how many tickets you want, answer the skill question, give a valid email address and pay the entry fee. Your ticket numbers are allocated at random and emailed to you once payment completes. Keep that email — it is your proof of entry.
4. Free postal entry route
You can enter any competition free of charge by post. Postal entries have exactly the same chance of winning as paid entries, and are drawn from the same pool of ticket numbers.
To enter by post, send an unenclosed postcard to FordMax, PO Box 000, Yourtown, AB1 2CD, clearly stating:
- your full name, address, and a contact email address or phone number;
- the name of the competition you are entering; and
- your answer to that competition's skill question.
One entry per postcard, one postcard per envelope, and each must be sent separately and hand-written by the entrant. Illegible, incomplete, bulk or automated entries will be rejected. Entries must arrive before the competition closes; we are not responsible for post that is delayed, lost or arrives late. Postal entries with an incorrect answer to the skill question are not entered, exactly as with paid entries.
5. Tickets and entries
- Each competition has a fixed number of tickets, shown on the competition page along with how many remain.
- Ticket numbers are assigned at random at the point of entry — you cannot choose your number.
- Once allocated, a ticket number is yours for that competition and cannot be transferred to another person or competition.
- Entries close when the last ticket is sold, or earlier if we close the competition under section 6.
6. How the draw works
A competition runs until every ticket has been sold. Each one also shows a latest draw date: the competition is drawn when it sells out, or by that date at the latest, whichever comes first. The winning ticket number is selected at random from all valid entries — paid and postal alike — using a random number generator, and the draw is streamed live on our social channels. The result is published on our winners page after the draw.
If a competition has not sold every ticket by its latest draw date, we will do one of two things, and we will say which on the competition page and on our social channels:
- Draw it anyway from the entries received, so the prize is still won; or
- Close the competition and refund every entry fee paid for it, to the payment method used.
Free postal entries carry no fee, so there is nothing to refund on those.
7. Prizes
- The prize is the item described on the competition page, in the condition described and shown.
- Vehicles are supplied as described. Unless stated otherwise on the competition page, a vehicle prize is delivered to mainland UK or can be collected by arrangement.
- There is no cash alternative unless we expressly offer one, and prizes are not transferable.
- You are responsible for insurance, tax, registration and running costs from the point the prize is handed over.
- If a prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond our control, we may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
8. Winner notification and publicity
We will contact the winner using the details given at entry, normally within 7 days of the draw. If we cannot reach a winner, or a prize is not claimed, within 28 days of the draw, we may redraw or re-allocate the prize.
We publish the winning ticket number and the winner's first name on our winners page and social channels. If you would prefer not to be named, tell us and we will publish the ticket number only.
9. Cancellations and refunds
Entries are for a competition that takes place on a fixed date. Because entry into the draw begins immediately, you agree that the service starts at once and, once your ticket numbers have been issued, entries are non-refundable except as set out below. This does not affect your legal rights where a service is not provided as described.
If we cancel a competition before its draw, we will refund all entry fees paid for that competition to the payment method used.
10. Fair play
We may reject entries, cancel entries or withhold a prize where we reasonably believe there has been fraud, payment reversal, use of multiple identities or automated entry, or any attempt to interfere with a competition or this website.
11. Our responsibility
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude or limit our liability in any way where it would be unlawful to do so — this includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, and for fraud. We are not responsible for entries that are lost, delayed or not received due to problems outside our control, including postal delays and internet or payment provider failures.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
12. Your personal data
We handle the details you give us in line with our privacy & cookies notice.
13. Trade marks
FordMax is an independent business and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Ford Motor Company. Model and marque names are used purely to identify the vehicles and parts described.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page when you enter is the version that applies to your entry.
15. Complaints and governing law
If something has gone wrong, email info@fordmax.co.uk and we will do our best to sort it out. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales.
